Community Garden Project Underway
With the support of SA Water through their Community Partnerships Program, plans are underway for construction of our own community garden at Compass!
Earlier this term, this excited crew went on an exploration of Urbrae House Gardens and Adelaide Botanic Gardens, seeking inspiration for our exciting group project.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming the wonderful Sophie Thomson, famous for “Sophie’s Patch” to Compass, for some expert advice and guidance before we put our plans into action!
Sophie ran a session with our young people, taking a deep dive at what it takes to setup and maintain a community garden, before mapping out a plan for what our garden might look like – we’re so excited to get to work on this in Term 2!
